Studies in Ephesians is a fantastic complement to Mullins' guide to Colossians. As with Studies in Colossians, it contains a concise study guide as well as review questions and a note to pastors and professors who may be using the resource.

“Trespass” means to fall down or aside from the path; and “sins” is from a word which means to miss the mark. In both cases, there is failure to pursue a given course. It is defect of conduct which is expressed particularly by the words, although, of course, the sinful conduct is based on what is inherent in the disposition. Now follows a further description of man in his natural state. The passage is one of the most complete of its kind in all Paul’s writings. “According to the course of this world.”
